What made me have faith in natural cures?

Let me tell you a story...

Actually I've had a 'close encounter' with cancer several years before I knew my late sister had it. This was about 10 years ago! I helped look after a friend who had breast cancer too. There were 'eruptions' near her armpit which were swollen and painful! Someone suggested that my friend saw a Chinese 'Sinseh' who was then living in Labis, Johor. Well, he didn't own a chinese herbal shop but he had learned from his late father who had gained knowledge from the Shaolin Temples in China!

What I found amazing was the 'medication' that the Sinseh used! It was actually
a paste made by grinding 7 types of herbs which he then put on a piece of banana leaf and had it heated in an oven! It was then placed over the 'eruptions'- like a wound dressing and had to be changed every certain hours! Seemed that the sinseh's medication had the ability to 'pull' pus and toxins to the skin's 'surface'! (Pic shows how a cancer cell looks like!) So during the change of dressings, one could actually see the pus and 'cancer cell root' being extracted!... Amazing!

Since the dressings had to be done within specific hours, family members and friends volunteered to transport my friend daily, to and fro Labis! Good thing, it wasn't that far. But as luck would have it, one friend, thinking that there was time, decided to have a little detour to Johore Bahru first! So, by the time they arrived at Labis, it was a way bit passed the 'grace period'! The Chinese Sinseh was livid and my friend was in great pain! Worst still, the toxins that would had been at the surface, now got 'pulled back'!!...

The day after, my friend had to be hospitalised. Her condition had worsened! Her affected hand never did recover. It gradually became gangrenous and finally, had to be amputated! She grew weaker. We were all expecting the worse! Looking by her condition then, the Doctors had advised family members to take my friend home ... Even her 'plot' in the 'Garden of Eternity' too had been prepared! However, she hung on and received palliative care from the hospital. Actually, while warded, she managed to get a special permission to continue receiving the Sinseh's treatment! The Sinseh gave her herbal capsules which he himself concocted. Well, I supposed, in addition to her own strong will to live and by God's grace and blessings, my friend amazingly became better and stronger and was finally discharged!

But... to add irony to my story, a month after my friend left the hospital, the Chinese Sinseh passed away! Gone was the 'secret herbal remedies' that amazed me so much! It could have helped many people. It could have helped my sister!! Unfortunately, that was not to happen! None of his children was interested to learn and the Sinseh did not pass it on to any others either. How sad!!

Wonderful to say though, till today my friend independently drives around herself, albeit, one hand! And the Doctors who had attended to her 10 years ago, are themselves amazed that she survived at all!!

Having been by her side and having observed everything, I knew that without the Sinseh's help, my friend would not have survived and would not have been here, 10 years later, amongst us still, grateful to be breathing the fresh morning air, each day she wakes up ...!!
